ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Eloise Epps MacKinnon is an author, motivational speaker, and servant of God. In these roles, she advocates for God’s people to know Him. As a child, Eloise was taught that it is never too early for someone to discover their God-given niche in society. A life brand in which God gave his only Son for us to achieve without a cost; the choice and power to be uniquely you. So, stand up and be proud of yourself, regardless of what others think! You are beautiful as you are because you were made in the image of The Perfect One Himself, God.
As an author and in my personal life, I have faced many challenges. The loss of my husband, my mother, and my brother. Some, I thought I would never overcome. And then during the writing of my first novel, I was struck with immobility and was in a wheelchair in 2010 for two and a half years. Like most, I had bouts with wavering faith as I struggled in and out of hospitals, daily therapy appointments, and doctor appointments after doctor’s appointment, to know no more than when I first lost the use of my legs. Then one day, I decided to face my situation with a smile and positive attitude while telling myself daily, “This Too Shall Pass”. I picked myself up and became obedient to God’s will for me. Instead of concentrating on my present circumstances, I focused on researching and writing my first novel. As I took my eyes off my problem, I allowed God in to work His magic. With God first, a lot of prayers, and dedication, two and a half years later, I was dancing in Paris, France, at a friend’s wedding. While my novels are works of fiction, each draws inspiration from biblical verses and real-life moments that have shaped my spiritual journey.
